About me

Hi, my name is Karol! My programming journey began at the age of 9 (2016) when I started creating basic websites using HTML and CSS, before moving on to PHP and MySQL. Around the same time, I also learned the basics of C++.

A major turning point came when I was 15 and entered a technical high school, enrolling in a newly launched Software Engineering class. That is when I started learning C# and the .NET ecosystem for desktop applications. Meanwhile, as I was preparing for my vocational exams, I polished and expanded my knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript. To solve algorithmic problems faster and more efficiently during coding competitions, I also taught myself Python.

Later on, I started exploring Kotlin for Android mobile app development (using both XML and Jetpack Compose). Currently, I am expanding my skillset with Node.js (building APIs with Express.js), creating desktop applications with Electron, and learning the React ecosystem (Vite.js, Next.js, Astro) to build interactive websites. Recently, I have also taken my first steps into cybersecurity, testing my skills in CTF (Capture The Flag) competitions.
